The top 4 Property areas in Bali
Thinking about living the dream? Well, why shouldn’t you?! Buy a sprawling piece of land or a gorgeous luxury villa in Bali, no matter what you’re planning to do with your slice of heaven, it’ll be a good idea! Residing on the ‘island of Gods’ is pure bliss and at the same time, renting out your villa very lucrative.
Yes, you have to deal with local laws and restrictions but that’s nothing a good realtor won’t solve. First things first, what would be a good area for you to look into buying Bali real estate? Here is a list of top destinations on the island:
1. Seminyak
Seminyak is always a good choice! This trendy and happening tourist beach town has never lost its fashion or coolness and it will continue to be Bali’s top destination! Land and property do come at the highest price but returns of investment are also very good.

2. Canggu
Canggu is the most desirable destination on the island at this very moment. Everyone wants to get into Canggu. However, when looking into buying real estate in Canggu, make sure you choose the location wise as Canggu is quite a stretched out area and if your property is too far away from the beach and places where it all happens (Berawa/Batu Bolong), it can be hard to rent out your property. Make sure the property is within walking distance of cafes and restaurants as getting around in Canggu can be a bit difficult for those who won’t drive a motorbike.
3. Ubud
Ubud for me represents Bali. For me Ubud is Bali. It’s still tropical and feels almost uncomplicated but it's great if you're looking to invest in property for retirement reasons, as it's very quiet and development is still slow.
We think you're sure to pick up some gems when it comes to villas at really affordable prices.
Ubud is surrounded by small villages which are all known for their own specialty I.e wood carvings, statues, art to mention a few.
Ubud also boasts some of the most beautiful rice paddy’s. Tegallalang being the most famous one in Ubud. It's actually a World Heritage site! You're also right by the Monkey Forest, and close to temples such as the Elephant Cave. Definitely a place for those seeking a spiritual journey.

4. Sanur
Sanur is the old-time favorite of families and retirees and also ex-pats with kids. There is something very charming about Sanur. This beach town in the south has everything you need for a perfect holiday: beach clubs, bars, restaurants, shops, spas, etc, and yet, the ‘village feel’ is still there. You will see many people on bicycles passing by and you can also get around on foot, making it really attractive for holidayers! Sanur is also the main gateway to get to nearby islands such as Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Penida. Furthermore, there aren’t too many villas around in this area – it will most likely be very easy to rent your property out to both tourists and ex-pats!
